Line & Shape
Line & Shape Reflection
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
- In all of my shots, I was very close up with them.
- Some of my photos were above, below, and straight on. I tried to get almost every angle.
- Some photos are horizontal and some are vertical.
- Yes, in the photo of the stairs to a slide I used the rule of thirds. The stairs weren't straight in the middle, it was off set to the side. I think it makes the photo a bit more interesting rather than it being straight to the middle.
- I believe that one of the tree photos leads the viewer's eyes through the work.
Utility Lines
Utility Lines Reflection
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe.
- In most photos i used the rule of thirds, besides maybe the 3rd photo in the gallery.
- The second photo leads the viewers eye more through the work.
- The second photo because it has more to it and more to offer for shapes.
- The second photo because it has the rule of thirds and shows what power lines really are and their potential.
Pattern, Texture, and Rhythm
How did you move beyond subject matter and make your images deal with surface quality, not just the subject of the image?
- I captured many textures and patterns making the photos more interesting and your eyes are lead many places. The photos aren't focused on something specific, more of something broad.
- Photo 3 because it shows rhythm as well as pattern and it leads the viewers eyes through every crevice of the net. The lighting helped this photo and made it clearer rather than not knowing what it actually is.
- The 5th photo because the photo wasn't as interesting to look at. It was a bit plain and boring.
